Tiger's Back - Golf Matters Again... for the Weekend

As I sat on my couch, watching the Big Cat stalk around Jack’s Muirfield Golf Club, I was reminded once again - Tiger is really the only one who can move the needle in golf. His smooth swing, quiet confidence, and amazing demeanor made the Memorial much watch TV for the last two days. Even when Tiger is not in contention, he’s still incredible to watch. Never mind that he’s 44 years old and been out of the game since the Genesis Open in February, Tiger is back and oh does it feel good!

He’s still the only player that I will regularly record seemingly meaningless PGA Tour rounds of, just to make sure I don’t miss a moment. The weekend would not have been the same if Tiger didn't make it there, and I’m sure the viewership numbers would have dwindled because of it.

Our resident editor, Aaron, put it aptly, we are a part of the Tigeration and he couldn’t be more right. Will he have a 1986 Masters’ moment like Jack Nicklaus? Will he dip back into his bag for 1, 2, 3, and maybe even 4 more majors to break Jack Nicklaus’s record of 18? He’s right at 82 wins tied with Snead, and although it doesn’t look like it’ll change this week, he’s on the door of breaking another massive record on PGA Tour and in golf. Tiger is must-watch TV and that hasn’t changed for the last 20 years.

I will be glued to the TV this weekend, where will you be?
